Field Coordinator Jobs Description
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation. Report to Area Manager
The purpose of the Field Office Coordinator is to coordinate the support functions at an Area/Field Offices and load- off the Area Manager on support functions.
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities (max 10)
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.
Line management for support staff such as Finance, HR & Admin and Logistics/ICT, Security etc
Member of the Area Management Group (AMG)
Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks and donor/auditor requirements
Provide inputs on operational support to Area Plan of Action, and to coordinate and align operational support with programs plans at field level
Responsible for ensuring quality support to project implementation.
Facilitate field Support Budget, field level budgets, including support cost
Responsible for Implementation of new country specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools in field (HR, Logistic/ICT and Finance)
Responsible for technical capacity building of support staff (HR, Logistic/ICT, Security and Finance)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public administration, Social studies, Human Resource management or other related fields from the recognised Universities
5 year experience in the coordination/management position position in the humanitarian works
Experience from working as a Finance/ Admin/HR and programs Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Knowledge of the local context Jonglei/Akobo
Fluency in English, both written and verbal with Juba Arabic as added advantage
